The Ming Story
This ginger jar is for you my friend and savior,
ever there to lend an ear or help with any favors,
you are a trusted and loyal pal that never wavers.
Our friendship, once new,
is now tried, sealed and true.
Please accept this as a small thank you,
for all you do.
Whether the future has us apart or as neighbors,
your company I will always treasure and savor.
My Godsend,
I am blessed to be able to call you my friend.
I am here for you until my journey’s end,
and if I am first to see the rainbow’s end,
I will greet you at the gates when you ascend.
Here’s to many days between now and then,
and to the chance to do it all again
